@melecio1 $30,000
how much do you already spend on all your solar system
or you can build a circuit that will track the sun and power a moter that will turn the solar panels to
im working on a solar system kindve like yours but in a smaller scale
@mrbrendons The fence has been a sufficient barrier, but at the time we were putting things up we didn’t have the property completely enclosed.
whats with all the key coded locks on all your structers? Is the fence not big enough? Do people actually jump the fence and steal?
I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas…I made a video showing what I did called, “Preparing for peak oil”….
Sadly, this would never work for me especially during winter months when I’m drawing around 11,000 watts with Christmas lights running for 8 hours a night for 1 1/2 months. 88,000 watts each nightfor 45 days = 3,960,000 watts consumed.
$30,000 for that equipment = 83 years of $30 month elec bills.
2 -4000w inverters? LOL
That price is less than the cost of the panels. Are you including rebates or is it used equipments?
my 2kw system costs me 6,500 for the monocrystaline panels 2,040 watts and ten deepcycle batteries a charge controllar , 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter
While you can use more batteries of this L16 size or even get into larger batteries such as those used in Forklifts ultimately you will need to compromise your electrical usage. The cost is so high for purchasing these large battery arrays it is not financially feasible for most people to keep enough energy storage on site.
oh ok are there any battery powerful enough to carry a/c for long period of hrs. im thinking about going off grid for solar but i dnt want to really compromise my electrical usage i am using right now, pls enlighten me on solar and battery bank. i understand the solar concept, but nit really the battery concepts…
thanks
Not quite enough power to run a AC for 10 hours (not with my other loads). The batteries do fine over night just supporting our refrigeration (upright + chest freezer) and a swamp cooler in the summer.
how many hrs will those battery last and for what kind of appliances. will it work for aircondition or heat pump running for about 10hrs till sunlight appears
Dude, another great tip from you about getting certified to qualify for a tax credit!
Thanks, again!
I’m sure it cost a fortune.
Oh man!!! You have the exact setup that I want!!! Jealous!!!
Probably the easiest thing in your case is to use a different controller. They are inexpensive for your size system ($150 for a charge controller). Then wire all your panels for 24V. That will leave you with one extra 12V panel.
hi i have got 5 80w panels at 12v and one at 24v it is a 110 v . 4 panels=48v can i put 80v and the 110 24v in parallel and can i put them in the same controller. the controller is solarix 4401 48v charge controller thanks.
im using sla’s ,they cost alot more but i found it too much hassle using deep cycle flooded ones.also sla’s last alot longer
Great Video..Thanks !
30,000$ wow dude. i live off grid right now and i run off a gen set. but im looking to get my self a 4.5KW system to tie into my genset and the gen set will only cick in when batteries are at __%.
dear god that’s a lot of batteries!
i have been viewing your site and have read just about everything very informative keep up the good work
