How Do Solar Lights Fail To Work?
One of my solar lights has stopped working. Do I (ever) need to replace the rechargeable battery? Or is there some other reason, apart from poor craftsmanship?

some have a on/off switch on them check for one ,or maybe it,s not getting enough sunlight
The batteries do have a finite lifetime so yes they could need replacement. However, that isn’t the only reason you light might not be working. It is possible a wire has corroded or broken off. The solar cells that charge up the batteries could have gone bad. Or the light itself could have failed ( not likely but still a possibility). Since it isn’t working – and if it isn’t still under warranty, I would take it apart and inspect it.
Two of mine stopped working recently, i replaced the batteries and theyre ok now, instructions on mine said to put new batteries in as soon as possible after purchase, but we didnt. Had one stop last year and somehow water had got in and corroded everything.
i always take a battery out of one that’s working put in the one that’s not for a day you will soon know if its battery, also clean the glass
The photo-electric cell that produces the voltage to recharge the battery has probably failed or there is a dry solder somewhere.Try a good battery and try to isoloate the fault.
